RANDY J. WANG
May 18, 1975–Sept. 27, 2018
Randy was born May 18, 1975, in Sturgis, S.D., to Vic Wang and Lynda (Harrison). Randy attended school in Newcastle, Wyo., through middle school, then moved to Sturgis, graduating from Believers Fellowship. After high school, Randy attended technical college in Denver, Colo., completing his HVAC degree, which led him to the Northfield, Minn., area working for Streitz Heating and Cooling.
He received his journeyman license through the Union for Commercial Sheet Metal Work.
In 1994, Randy moved to the Northfield area where he met Melony Ramsey, together having two children, Amber and Grace.
Randy loved life and lived every minute of it, enjoying the outdoors, hiking, fishing, junior geology, fossil hunting, and most of all debating. He cherished his daughters and spent as much time as possible with them — he considered his two daughters to be his biggest accomplishment, and with the help of Melony, he treasured his family and friends.
At the age of 43, Randy passed away unexpectedly after a car accident on Sept. 27, 2018.
He is survived by his pride and joy, Amber and Grace; their mother, Melony; his mother, Lynda; siblings, Denise (Wayne) Anderson, Pat (Juliet) Huey, Shane Huey, Brent (Renee), Wade, and Emily; and extended family and friends.
His father, Victor; and his brother, Chad, preceded him in death.
Services will be held on Oct. 6 at 1 p.m., at First Wesleyan Church, 3040 Marlin Dr., Rapid City, S.D.
