LARAMIE, Wyoming (5/9/25) – University of Wyoming soccer head coach Josh Purdum announced the 2025 schedule on Thursday. The Cowgirls are slated to play 20 matches with eight occurring at the Madrid Sports Complex.

“I think we have a good balance on our schedule and a lot of challenging games both home and away,” Purdum said. “Always excited to play top programs like a Georgia and Colorado, and there are also some previous conference champions in there that will test us and give us different looks going into conference play.”

The regular season gets underway on Aug. 14 at Drake. The home schedule begins with Northern Colorado on Aug. 21 in the Rocky Mountain Derby.

The remaining non-conference home matches include Regis (Aug. 24) and Idaho (Sept. 14). The rest of the non-conference road matches feature Colorado (Aug. 31), Georgia (Sept. 4), Idaho State (Sept. 11), South Dakota State (Sept. 18) and South Dakota (Sept. 21).

The Mountain West Conference season commences at Boise State (Sept. 25) and at Utah State (Sept. 28). Wyoming then enjoys its longest homestand of the season with games against UNLV (Oct. 2), Nevada (Oct. 5), Air Force (Oct. 9) and Colorado College (Oct. 12). The conference slate concludes with matches at San Jose State (Oct. 16), at Fresno State (Oct. 19), at New Mexico (Oct. 23), at San Diego State (Oct. 26) and at home against Colorado State (Oct. 30).

Wyoming is fresh off a 4-6-9 year in 2024. The Cowgirls defeated a ranked foe for the first time in program history, toppling No. 11 Utah State and goalkeeper Haley Bartel’s nine shutouts were a single-season school record.
