Prepare While You Can

Donāt wait until itās too lateālearn what the Bible says about preparation, wisdom, and seeing danger before it strikes.
Some folks live like the good times will never end. They scroll, laugh, and shrug off anything that feels uncomfortable. But Godās Word doesnāt teach us to be carelessāit tells us to be wise. It tells us to prepare.
Take the ant for example.
Proverbs 6:6ā8 says,
āGo to the ant, you lazy one,
Observe its ways and be wise,
Which, having no chief, officer, or ruler,
Prepares its food in the summer
And gathers its provision in the harvest.ā
The ant doesnāt wait until the cold hits. It works now. It stores up while thereās still time. No oneās standing over it with a deadline or a threatāit just knows to be ready.
That same wisdom shows up again in Proverbs 22:3:
āA prudent person sees evil and hides himself,
But the naive proceed, and pay the penalty.ā
God isnāt telling us to live in fear. Heās telling us to open our eyes. When somethingās coming, donāt just keep walking like itās nothing. Take shelter. Get right with God. Set your heart on what matters.
And in Genesis 41, Joseph warned Pharaoh about what was coming. There would be seven years of plentyāand then seven years of famine. Joseph didnāt panic. He planned. He said,
āLet them gather all the food of these good years that are coming⦠as a reserveā (Genesis 41:35).
They stored up while they could. And when the famine came? They were ready.
Thatās what the Lord is saying to us right now. Donāt sleep through the summer. Donāt wait for the shaking to start before you look up.
Prepare your heart. Wake up your spirit. Walk in wisdom.
