One dead after shooting in Osage

An unidentified individual was found deceased in Osage following reports of a shooting on Tuesday, July 27, according to a press release from the Weston County Sheriff’s Office, and a suspect in the shooting has been taken into custody.
The release stated at approximately 6:19 p.m., deputies responded to reports of a shooting in Osage. When deputies arrived on the scene they found a deceased male outside of the residence. 
According to the release, deputies were able to locate and detain a suspect. The suspect was transported to the Weston County Detention Center where they are being held. 
The identities of the victim and suspect have not been released at this time.  
WCSO Investigator Steve Annets said that the Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) has been requested to assist with the investigation.
