NOTICE OF PROPOSED RESOLUTION — Weston County — EMS District

NOTICE OF PROPOSED RESOLUTION BY THE WESTON COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO FORM THE WESTON COUNTY EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES DISTRICT AND NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PURSUANT TO WYOMING STATUTE 18-12-105(b)

WHEREAS, Wyoming Statute 18-12-105(b) allows an emergency medical services district to be established by resolution of the Weston County Board of Commissioners (the “Board”); and

WHEREAS, on March 4, 2025, the Board decided to move forward with the potential of establishing an emergency medical services district for Weston County, Wyoming; and

WHEREAS, the Board recognizes the need Weston County, Wyoming currently has for the provision of emergency medical services to the citizens of Weston County, Wyoming; and

WHEREAS, Wyoming Statute 18-12-113(e) requires the Board to appoint not less than three (3) nor more than nine (9) residents of the district to constitute a board of directors of the district; and

WHEREAS, a hearing on the establishment of the Weston County Emergency Medical Services District occurred on March 31, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. for the purpose of accepting public comments regarding the establishment of the Weston County Emergency Medical Services District; and

WHEREAS, the Board has submitted the proposed boundaries of the district to the Weston County Assessor and the Department of Revenue for their review of any conflict, gap, or other boundary issue;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Weston County Board of Commissioners that the Weston County Emergency Medical Services District is hereby established pursuant to Wyoming Statute 18-12-105(b).

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the boundaries of said district shall be the boundaries of Weston County, Wyoming, the description of which is found in Wyoming Statute 18-1-101(y).

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the board of directors for said board will be appointed pursuant to Wyoming Statute 18-12-113(e) by resolution of the Board if said district is indeed formed.

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the public hearing on this proposed resolution and the potential establishment of the Weston County Emergency Medical Services District shall occur on the 31st day of March, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at the Weston County Fairgrounds, 24 Fairgrounds Road, Newcastle, Wyoming 82701.
