Area residents have long taken comfort in the fact that when their lawn mowers, chainsaws, weed eaters and other implements break down, they don’t necessarily have to run out and dump a pile of money on a new one. That’s because Jack Hansen along with his wife Betty have been in business on the west end of town for several decades, and his knowledge and expertise has given new life to more small engines than anybody could ever count.

While Hansen Equipment is the place to go when your favorite implement is suffering mechanical difficulties, Jack has also got a very good selection of new and used items available for purchase, and if you don’t see it in his shop, there’s a pretty good chance he can order it for you and have it here in a day or two. The store carries such name brands as Husqvarna, Snapper, Lawn & Garden, Briggs and Stratton and Honda Engines, and offers a variety of chainsaw accessories — including bar and mix oils — agricultural implement repair items and a selection of welding supplies, including oxygen and acetylene gasses.

Hansen Equipment is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Items can be dropped off for repairs and Jack will call you when it’s ready to be picked up.
