Aug. 17, 1978—Sept. 10, 2024

Nickie was born in Sterling, Illinois, the oldest of four children. The family lived in Nevada, Illinois, California and Utah while she was growing up. She made lifelong friends everywhere.

Utah is where she met her soul mate, David Jensen. They married in 1998. They stayed in Utah until 2011, when they moved to Newcastle to be by family again. Although they never had children of their own, they had many God-babies and bonus children. She was daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, mom, momma Nick, grandmother, godmother and lifelong friend and confidante to any and all. She was always there to help, even when they were struggling to get by. If she had it, then you did also.

She started doing nails for fun and ended up with many loyal clients.

She loved with her whole heart, and if you were lucky enough to be in her circle, there was never any doubt about how she felt. You never mentioned really liking something or needing something, as it would show up at your door, no note, no card. Just because.

That was Nickie. She is survived by her husband, Dave Jensen; maternal grandparents, Jack and Titia Powell of Newcastle; her parents, Tim and Terri Kessler of Newcastle; brothers, Josh Guzman (Lizz Guzman) and Dayton Kessler (Tia Kessler), both of Newcastle; and a sister, Shanan Moren (John Moren) of Albany, New York; along with dozens of aunts, uncles, cousins and bonus family.

Until we are together again.
