NANCY L. BAIR
April 18, 1954–July 30, 2024
Our beloved mother, Nancy Bair, went home to be with the Lord on July 30, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones, after an extended battle with cancer.
Nancy was born April 18, 1954, to Kenneth and Gladys Dutcher in Newcastle, Wyoming. She attended high school in Newcastle and went on to attend nursing college in Miles City, Montana. She worked as a registered nurse for 35 wonderful years. She found her work family, which she loved dearly, in Custer, South Dakota, and the Honor Camp in Newcastle.
Nancy married Randy Bair in 1979. To this union three beautiful children were born, Amanda, Rusty and Lori. The most important part in Nancy’s life was her family, children, grandchildren, and extended family. She loved to fish, ride horseback with her husband and children, help her children with their many 4-H projects, chasing around her many chickens, playing in her flower beds, and visit with her sister Shirley and brother-in-law Bill, whom she lived with the last year and a half of her life.
Grateful to share her life are her sister, Shirley Haley and husband Bill of Newcastle; sisters-in-law, LeeAnn Dutcher of Gillette and Arilee Dutcher of Newcastle; son, Rusty and his wife Amanda of Newcastle; daughter, Lori and her husband Kevin of Newcastle; stepson, Theodore and family; step-daughter, Kari and husband Drake and family; and step-daughter Krystal and family; her grandchildren, Shane and Eli; step-grandchildren, Brandon (Kristen), Ashley (Josh), Lani, Hailey, and Gavin; as well as numerous other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by both her parents, Kenneth and Gladys Dutcher; sister, Jean Buffington; brothers, Charles Dutcher and Mike Dutcher; husband, Randy Bair; and her daughter, Amanda Bair.
