LARAMIE, Wyoming (3/8/26) – The University of Wyoming men’s golf team is back in action this week. The Cowboys travel to compete in the R.E. Lamkin San Diego Invitational on Monday and Tuesday in Chula Vista, California.

The San Diego Country Club is a par 72 layout that stretches 7,033 yards. Thirty-six holes will be contested on Monday with the final 18 being played on Tuesday.

A total of 16 teams are slated to compete. Wyoming is joined by UC San Diego, Colorado, San Diego State, Pacific, San Francisco, BYU, UC Santa Barbara, Saint Mary’s, UC Irvine, UT Arlington, San Diego, Fresno State, Long Beach State, Cal Poly and UC Davis.

The Cowboys are fresh off their best finish of the 2025-26 season. They took seventh in a 23-team field at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate at the end of last month.

Brody Knowlton paced the Pokes for the second time in as many tournaments this spring. He tied for 13th and collected his second Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Week honor.

Wyoming finished 12th at last year’s San Diego Classic. Brody Leid led the way, sharing 15th place.

Following the Lamkin Invitational, the Cowboys travel back to Arizona for the Thunderbirds Intercollegiate. That tournament runs from March 16-17 in Tucson.
