Men’s Golf Tied for Seventh Following Day 1 of the Arizona N.I.T.

TUCSON, Arizona (1/26/26) – The University of Wyoming men’s golf team wrapped up Day 1 at the Arizona N.I.T. on Monday. Teams were unable to complete Round 2 because of darkness. As it stands, the Pokes are tied for seventh at 8-under in a tournament being played at Omni Tucson National Resort.
Arizona leads the team standings at 28-under. Texas is in second at 27-under, while St. Mary’s rounds out the top three at 15-under. Arizona’s Filip Jakubcik is atop the individual leaderboard at 11-under.
Brody Knowlton paces the Cowboys in large part due to his career-low round to open the tournament. He fired a 67 (-5) in Round 1 with six birdies and is currently 5-under, which positions him in a tie for 10th.
Brody Leid isn’t far off Knowlton’s pace. Leid is 3-under, which ties him for 21st. He carded an opening-round 69 (-3) that featured four front-nine birdies.
Conner Scheich checks in tied for 41st at 1-over. He recorded a first-round 73 (+1).
Kellen Ball rounds out Wyoming’s countable scores. He shares 49th place at 2-over following an opening round 76 (+4) and a strong start to Round 2.
Kristof Panke’s 4-over score is dropped. He’s tied for 62nd after opening with 73 (+1).
The remainder of the second round and final round will be completed Tuesday. The action begins at 8:30 a.m.
