Men’s Golf Tied for 10th Following Day 1 of Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate

TUCSON, Arizona (3/16/26) – The University of Wyoming men’s golf team wrapped up Day 1 of the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate on Monday. Not all teams completed the second round. As it stands, the Pokes are tied for 10th at 6-over in a tournament being played at the Tucson Country Club.

Long Beach State leads at 21-under. The Beach’s Alejandro De Castro is currently atop the individual leaderboard at 13-under.

Conner Scheich and Brody Knowlton lead the Cowboys at 1-over, which positions them in a tie for 31st. Scheich opened with a team-best 69 (-3), and Knowlton carded a 71 (-1) in Round 1.

Kristof Panke and Kellen Ball are each tied for 39th at 3-over. Panke began with a 73 (+1), while Ball shot a steady 72 (E).

Brody Leid’s score is currently dropped. He shares 61st at 7-over after a first-round 77 (+5). Austin Barry, who’s competing as an individual, is 81st at 24-over.

The Thunderbirds Intercollegiate concludes on Tuesday, first with the completion of the second round.
