Men’s Golf Takes Ninth at Arizona N.I.T.

TUCSON, Arizona (1/27/26) – The University of Wyoming men’s golf team completed play at the Arizona N.I.T. on Tuesday. The Pokes finished ninth at 861 (-3) in a tournament played at Omni Tucson National Resort.
“We didn’t play as well today as the first day, but I loved the effort, and I loved the process,” head coach Joe Jensen said. “I love the work, I love the attitude, and I love the competitiveness. So, I’m pleased. We have a lot to work on and lot of tiny things to get better at. But it’s a great foundation, and it’s somewhere to build from.”
Texas won the team title at 823 (-41). Arizona was runner-up with a final tally of 824 (-40), and Iowa State rounded out the top three at 835 (-29). Arizona’s Filip Jakubcik won the individual crown at 202 (-14).
Brody Knowlton paced the Pokes the entire tournament, tying for 19th at 211 (-5). He fired a third-round score of 71 (-1).
Brody Leid was second on the team and tied for 35th overall. He carded a final round 72 (E) for a three-round total of 214 (-2).
Conner Scheich shared 46th place at 218 (+2). He logged a final round 73 (+1).
Kristof Panke and Kellen Ball both tied for 57th place at 222 (+6). Panke recorded a final round 74 (+2), while Ball registered a Round 3 score of 75 (+3).
The Cowboys are back in action in a few weeks at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate. That tournament runs from Feb. 23-25 in Palm Desert, California.
