Men’s Golf Places 14th at Tiger Intercollegiate

COLUMBIA, Missouri (4/8/25) – The University of Wyoming men’s golf team finished up play at the Tiger Intercollegiate on Tuesday at The Old Club at Hawthorne. The Cowboys placed 14th as a team at 880 (+40).
“This was as cold and as windy as it has been in a long time,” head coach Joe Jensen said. “It was a really difficult course, and we didn’t play well, but today was better for us. We played hard on a very, very difficult course.”
Missouri won the tournament at 840 (E). St. Mary’s and Nebraska rounded out the top three at 848 (+8) and 854 (+14), respectively. Missouri’s Mattias Varjun won the individual crown at 206 (-4).
Brody Leid paced the Pokes at 217 (+7), which tied him for 26th. He holed three birdies Tuesday and closed with an eagle.
Patrick Azevedo wasn’t far behind at 220 (+10), which tied him for 44th place. He logged a 73 (+3) in his third round with one birdie.
Damon Vilkauskas tied for 51st at 221 (+11). He put together his best round on Tuesday, carding a 73 (+3).
Kristof Panke fired a final round 71 (+1) to finish with a 222 (+12), which tied him for 55th. His third round featured a pair of birdies.
Davis Seybert is the score Wyoming drops. He tied for 96th at 241 (+31) following a final round 79 (+9).
Ethan Smith, who was participating as an individual, finished in a tie for 91st at 231 (+21). He recorded a third round 73 (+3).
