MAUI, Hawai’i (10/27/26) – The University of Wyoming men’s golf team moved up on Tuesday during the final day of the Ka’anapali Classic by OUTRIGGER. The Cowboys finished in 12th at 870 (+18) in a tournament played at Royal Ka’anapali Golf Course.
Georgia won the competition with an 829 (-23). Clemson and TCU rounded out the top three at 830 (-22) and 838 (-14), respectively.
Brody Leid paced the Pokes with a torrid final day. Tuesday only encompassed the final nine holes – because of impending inclement weather – and Leid put on a show.
He birdied six of his nine holes with zero bogeys to finish with a 214 (+1), and that was good enough for a share of 28th. His final round was the best third-round score of the tournament, and that came after a pair of 75s (+4) to open the competition.
Brody Knowlton wasn’t far behind. He finished in a tie for 32nd with a 215 (+2). Knowlton went 76 (+5), 67 (-4) and 72 (+1).
Kellen Ball shared 46th place. He registered a 217 (+4). Ball went 70 (-1), 76 (+5) and 71 (E).
Jack Newton, who was playing as an individual, tied for 74th. He recorded a three-round score of 222 (+9). Newton went 76 (+5), 76 (+5) and 70 (-1).
Conner Scheich finished with a 226 (+13). He shared 95th place. Scheich went 82 (+11), 70 (-1) and 74 (+3).
Austin Barry rounded out the Cowboys. He tied for 110th at 230 (+17). Barry went 81 (+10), 75 (+4) and 74 (+3).
Wyoming now takes a couple of months off before its next competition. It’ll travel to the Arizona N.I.T. from Feb. 1-2.
