The Final Round 14-Under is the Fourth-Best, Single-Round Score in Program History
TUCSON, Arizona (2/4/25) – The University of Wyoming men’s golf team wrapped up play at the Arizona N.I.T. on Tuesday at Omni Tucson National Resort. The Cowboys moved up to eighth as a team at 15-under.
The second and final day encompassed the final few leftover holes from Round 2 and the entirety of Round 3. Not many were sharper than the Pokes who fired a 14-under, which is the fourth-best team score for a single round in program history.
“I just wanted us to be a little bit better today, and we were just steady and really focused on our process,” head coach Joe Jensen said. “We were patient and consistent. I’m proud of the guys. They played well.”
Patrick Azevedo led the way, placing in a tie for 30th, with a spotless final round 68 (-4), which was littered with four birdies. That put him at 4-under for the tournament following an opening round 71 (-1) and a second round 73 (+1).
