Men’s Golf Finishes in a Tie for Second at The Duck Invite

Kristof Panke Takes Runner-Up

EUGENE, Oregon (3/25/25) – The University of Wyoming men’s golf team finished in a tie for second at the Duck Invite contested at the Eugene Country Club. The Cowboys shot a team score of 845 (-7), which was one shot behind No. 36 Oregon.

“We played hard, and I’m proud of the guys,” head coach Joe Jensen said. “We felt some heat at the end, and it was good for us to feel that, and we almost won a tournament. We competed with a great team like Oregon on their home course and had a chance to win. That’s neat.”

No. 45 Colorado State shared second with Wyoming. No. 40 Little Rock and St. Mary’s rounded out the top five at 850 (-2) and 851 (-1), respectively.

Kristof Panke paced the Pokes and finished runner-up. He fired a final round 70 (-1) to give him a three-round score of 205 (-8). Colorado State’s Christoph Bleier won the individual crown at 203 (-10).

Jaren Calkins placed fifth at 207 (-6). He carded a final round 75 (+4).

Patrick Azevedo enjoyed a solid final round 70 (-1). He finished in a tie for 29th with a total score of 216 (+3).

Damon Vilkauskas rounded out the Wyoming scorers. He saved his best for last, firing a team-best final round 68 (-3) to give himself a three-round total of 217 (+4), which positioned him in a tie for 33rd.

Brody Leid’s score was dropped from the team tally. He finished in a tie for 83rd at 231 (+18) following a Round 3 score of 81 (+10).

Wyoming is back in action next week at the Cowboy Classic. That runs from March 31-April 1 in Maricopa, Arizona.
