Lahaini, Maui, Hawai’i (11/4/24) – The University of Wyoming men’s golf team continued to move up on the last day of the Ka’anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational. The Cowboys finished 13th at 836 (-16), in a tournament being played at Royal Ka’anapali Golf Course.
"We played two quality rounds," head coach Joe Jensen said. "We had a tough first day, and I challenged the guys to put two solid rounds together, and they did that. So, I'm proud of them."
Oklahoma’s Jaxon Dowell led wire to wire. He finished with a 196 (-17) and helped the Sooners to a team title with a final tally of 810 (-42).

Kristof Panke put together back-to-back solid rounds. He carded a final-round 68 (-3) for a three-round total of 208 (-5), which was good enough for a tie for 35th. Panke’s Monday was littered with four birdies and an eagle.

Ethan Smith, competing as an individual, shot his first under-par round of the tournament Monday. He recorded a 69 (-2) to give him a three-round total of 212 (-1) to tie for 63rd.
Davis Seybert, who was also playing as an individual, finished his tournament well. He fired his second consecutive 72 (+1) for a three-round total of 218 (+5), which put him in a tie for 98th. Seybert’s Monday featured a trio of birdies.
