Men Ranked #29 in Final National Coaches' Poll

NEW ORLEANS (November 18, 2024) – The University of Wyoming men’s cross country program was ranked 29th in the sixth and final U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Coaches’ Poll, released on Monday.

The Cowboys earned 31 points in the week six poll after placing sixth at the NCAA Mountain Regional and qualifying for the NCAA Championship as a team for the first time since 2018. The last time the men made the championship, the Cowboys were ranked 15th and exceeded expectations to finish 12th as a team.

The Pokes will run against every ranked team and one other who received votes in Saturday’s championship. Full rankings can be found here.

The NCAA Championship will be Saturday, Nov. 23 in Madison, Wis., with the men running at 9:10 a.m. The race will be streamed uninterrupted on ESPNU and the ESPN app.
