MARY “SUSIE” VELTEN

Mary Susan “Susie” Velten of Newcastle, Wyo., passed away unexpectedly Dec. 7, 2018, at the age of 66, at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, S.D. 
Her family said, “Susie, as most people called her, worked the last 20 years for Weston County Health Services hospital in various areas, but her favorite position was in the activities department caring for our senior citizens. She became very close to the many people she met, and I’m sure will be missed.”
Susie was preceded in death by her husband, Tim Velten, who passed away on Jan. 11, 2018, from cancer. 
Her two children, Tracy Welch and Roger Houston, and two sisters, Leah Lindley and Connie Rainbolt, and four grandchildren will miss her dearly.
Black Hills Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
