Marilyn Yvonne McKenzie, age 85, formerly of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Weston County Manor nursing home in Newcastle, Wyoming.

Marilyn was born Aug. 1, 1939, to parents Lynn and Melba (Erickson) Drinkwine in Falun, Wisconsin. Marilyn graduated from Osceola High School in 1957. She married Francis “Fats” McKenzie July 29, 1961, and to this union, were blessed with four children. Marilyn worked at St. Croix Regional Medical Center and retired from there after 24 years.

Marilyn was an active member of Bethesda Lutheran Church. She enjoyed baking, riding the Harley with her husband, bowling, singing, reading, crossword puzzles, collecting Betty Boop knick knacks, looking at catalogs, shopping, and going to the theater to see plays with her friends. Above everything, Marilyn loved spending time with her family. She was always grateful for her husband and the life he provided for them. Her children and grandchildren always made her so proud.

She is survived by her children, Shari Black, Scott (Ellen), and Debbie (Cal) Hoople; grandchildren, Rayn and Rhys (Jes) Campbell, Nick (Jodi) Ward, Cassie (Matt) Hayman, Jessie (Morgan) Stearns, Amanda (Taylor) Romine, Alexia (Ike) Anderson, and Taylor, Julia and Ayden Hoople; 13 great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy McKenzie and Patricia Parmer.

She is preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Francis; daughter, Susan McKenzie; brothers, Marvin (Mary) Drinkwine and Gary (Barb) Drinkwine; brothers-in-law, Lawrence (Yvonne), Clarence (June), and Leo McKenzie, and Joe Parmer; and sister-in-law, Mary (Bill) Pfannes.

Memorial services for Marilyn will take place 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Dresser, Wisconsin, with visitation one hour prior. Burial to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Osceola, Wisconsin.
