Man dies in single-vehicle rollover, accident under investigation

CHEYENNE (WNE) — Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a single-vehicle rollover crash over the weekend that resulted in the death of a 55-year-old driver.

William “Billy” Campbell was found deceased at the scene by first responders. Campbell was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

At approximately 6:50 a.m. Sunday, emergency personnel responded to a reported single- vehicle rollover in the 900 block of Road 140 in Laramie County.

Preliminary information indicates that a green Mazda traveling southbound crossed the center line, veered off the roadway and rolled, according to a news release sent out Monday by the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol, Laramie County Sheriff’s Office and Laramie County Fire Authority responded to the scene, according to the release.

The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information was available as of Monday, according to the release.
