Louderback to play volleyball for Black Hills State
Black Hills State women's volleyball, Head Coach Kristin Carmichael (Engle), and Assistant Coach Bree Davis are pleased to announce the signing of right-side hitter Alyson Louderback to the squad for the 2022-23 season.
"Alyson has a natural ability to play both middle and right side, and we look forward to adding this talented, local athlete to our roster and volleyball family," said Coach Carmichael. "Alyson's athleticism will allow her to develop quickly in our gym and we are excited to watch her grow and compete in the RMAC!"
Louderback joins the Yellow Jacket family from Upton, Wyo. where she competed with the Upton High School volleyball team. Alyson amassed 843 kills, 104 solo blocks, 222 total blocks, and 64 aces in her time with the Upton High School volleyball team.
As a freshman Louderback racked up 118 kills, 22 total blocks, and 20 single blocks in 56 sets played. Alyson earned a 27.3 kill percentage and a .012 hitting percentage her freshman year.
As a sophomore Louderback played in 94 sets tallying 268 kills, 76 total blocks, and 28 single blocks. Louderback had a .184 hitting percentage her sophomore year to go along with a 32.0 kill percentage.
Throughout her junior season Alyson played in 75 sets racking up 139 kills, 76 total blocks, and 28 single blocks while amassing a 41.3 kill percentage and a .227 hitting percentage.
As a senior Louderback tallied 318 kills, 48 total blocks, and 18 single blocks in 86 sets played. Alyson recorded a .179 hitting percentage and a 41.3 kill percentage her senior year.
In 2019 Louderback was on the East Regional Championship team and the third place Wyoming 1A-State Volleyball team. Alyson was named to the Wyoming All-Star North Team in 2022 and was named team captain in 2020 and 2021.
Louderback earned All-Confeence accolades in 2019, 2020, and 2021 and was named All-State in 2019 and 2021.
Alyson is currently ranked third in her class with a 3.93 GPA and has been a member of the National Honor Society since 2020. Louderback plans to major in Elementary Education at BHSU.
