Linda Kay Jons, 65, of Baggs, Wyo., passed away peacefully Dec. 12, 2021, at Mount Olympus Rehabilitation Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She was born in Craig, Colo., to Orville and Zara (Sally) Jons Oct. 4, 1956. She grew up in Baggs. She was a cowgirl, she loved living, riding her horses, and working at the family ranch in Baggs.
She was the youngest of four children. She loved to play guitar and sing; she started playing when she was 14. It was her passion. She earned a degree as a veterinarian technician from Casper College. She was a very kind person with a heart of gold. She was a joy to all that knew her. She had the cowgirl drawl.
This was a big year for her. In May she was reunited with her son “Ray” Lance Bergstrom. They played guitar together when he traveled down to meet her in Salt Lake City. It was her final wish to meet him after 40 years. Earlier in the year she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She fought it hard till
the end.
She is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Peter and George; grandmothers, Matilda and Adah; parents, Orville and Zara (Sally); sister, Jeanie; brother, Ned; and granddaughter, Angel.
She is survived by her sister, Janice; son, “Ray” Lance Bergstrom; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Her services will take place in the spring in Baggs.
