Leid Named Mountain West Conference Men’s Golf Freshman of the Month

LARAMIE, Wyoming (11/19/24) – University of Wyoming men’s golfer Brody Leid was honored Tuesday. He garnered Mountain West Conference Men’s Golfer Freshman of the Month honors for what he accomplished in Hawaii.

The Pheonix, Arizona, native put together his strongest performance at the Ka’anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational. It represented Leid’s best tournament as a collegiate golfer. He paced the Pokes, firing a 207 (-6) that tied him for 29th.

The Ka’anapali Classic also stood as Leid’s second consecutive tournament under par. He also accomplished the feat at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational.

Leid’s first season as a collegiate golfer has seen him start all five fall tournaments. He’s super consistent, as well, owning a per-round scoring average of 71.2.

Wyoming is back in action in February. The Cowboys participate in the Arizona N.I.T. From Feb. 4-6 in Tucson, Arizona.
