Lauterwasser Named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week

First weekly honor for Lauterwasser

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Oct. 28, 2024) – Paige Lauterwasser was named the Mountain West’s Offensive Player of the Week Monday, as announced by the league office. Lauterwasser’s honor is the first of her career and the first Wyoming Offensive Player of the Week nod since September of last season.

Lauterwasser had an impressive week offensively in leading the Cowgirls to a 2-0 week with wins over Air Force and New Mexico. Lauterwasser averaged 4.13 kills and 4.63 points per set during the week while hitting .338. In Wyoming’s win at Air Force, Lauterwasser led the way with 19 kills on a .324 hitting efficiency, while recording 21 points. Against UNM, Lauterwasser had 14 kills, hit .355 and notched 16 points.

The Cowgirls and Lauterwasser are in the midst of a four-match homestand and will return to action Thursday against San Diego State in a 6:30 p.m., matchup.
