LAUREEN ‘TOOTIE’ KUDLOCK

Laureen “Tootie” Kudlock, 83, passed away peacefully on Feb. 19, 2020, at Star Valley Health in Afton, Wyo.
She was born on Aug. 8, 1936, at home near Toledo, Ore. She was the fourth child born to Lawrence and Lela Svensen. She grew up on several dairy farms in
Oregon, Idaho and Colorado. She graduated from Lebanon High School in Lebanon, Ore., and went on to beauty school in Salem, Ore.
Tootie married Art Kudlock in Newcastle, Wyo., on April 7, 1968. They lived in Newcastle and B.C.,
Canada, before ultimately settling in Upton, Wyo., where they lived on Willow Street for 41 years.
Tootie provided childcare for quite a few babies and children throughout the years. She was best known for her bread and gravy, and also for her delicious chocolate chip cookies.
She recently moved to Smoot, Wyo., to be near her daughter and son-in-law.
She is survived by her husband, Art Kudlock; daughter, Cindy Whitney and son-in-law Jeff; son, Lance Kudlock; sister, Sherri Mace; special niece, Brenda Upton; and very dear friend, Corina McPeters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Duane and
Sherman Svensen; and her sister, Inga Allen. A memorial is planned for later this summer.
