March 3, 1976–May 1, 2024

Joy Marie (Stafford) Hessler, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother to many, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2024, at the age of 48, after a courageous battle with cancer. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories that will forever be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Born on March, 3, 1976, Joy entered this world with an infectious spirit and a boundless positivity. She embarked on a journey filled with passion and purpose, touching the lives of countless individuals along the way.

Joy was known for her unwavering dedication to her family and friends, as well as her gym and fitness family at Momentum Nutrition and Fitness. She approached every endeavor with enthusiasm and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

In Joy’s final moments, she found solace surrounded by the love of her family and friends. While Joy’s physical presence may no longer be with us, her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us in the days ahead.

Joy is survived by her loving husband, Kenny Hessler; children, Hazen (Joseph) Alvis and Tristen (Krissy) Cox; step-children, Hannah (Todd) Green and Cara Hessler; her parents, Galen and Evalynn (Leopold) Stafford; sister, Hope (Burke) McMullin; nieces and nephews Amanda, Andrew and Abbey Haynes; and grandchildren, Charlotte Alvis, Meagan and Macey Green, and Heidi, Madison, and Jordan Groskopf. Joy is also survived by a large extended family and many beloved friends. 

A Celebration of Life to honor the life of Joyelle will be held on May 25 at the Camplex Energy Hall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Gillette, Wyoming. All are welcomed to bring photos or items that remind you of her to display on tables and share with all in attendance. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hope Source through Northeast Wyoming Community Health Foundation in Joyelle’s memory.
