Jesus Wept

A quiet reminder that Jesus enters into our grief with us. This short post on John 11:35 shows how even the Son of God wept—and why you’re never alone in your tears.
It’s the shortest verse in the Bible, but it carries so much weight:
“Jesus wept.” (John 11:35)
He knew He was about to raise Lazarus.
He knew death didn’t have the final word.
He knew the power of God would be revealed in just moments.
And still—He wept.
Jesus didn’t brush past the pain. He didn’t hurry into the miracle.
He stood there, surrounded by sorrow, and felt it fully.
He wept because Mary was weeping.
He wept because the people were hurting.
He wept because death was never meant to be part of our story.
If you’re crying today—He gets it.
He doesn’t just fix things. He feels things.
He’s the Savior who enters into our grief before He lifts us out of it.
“For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses...” (Hebrews 4:15)
He understands. He feels. He cares.
Sometimes, the most comforting truth is this:
You’re not alone in your tears.
He’s right there, weeping with you.
