JEREMY RYAN RUSSELL

Jeremy Ryan Russell “Jermweeds”, 37, of Newcastle, Wyoming, passed away after an extended stay at Monument Health Rapid City Hospital Intensive Care Unit at 7:34 a.m. on Nov. 14, 2024.

He was born on March 5, 1987, in Newcastle, to David Russell and Kathy King. He was later joined by two siblings, Jessica in 1989 and Joshua in 1990. He was an amazing big brother who loved playing football and spending quality time with his siblings. 

He married the love of his life Danielle (Clayton) on Sept. 12, 2015. He welcomed three sons in his life, Daxton in 2009, Kenzer in 2014, and Jace in 2016. His biggest blessing was being able to be a loving husband and father. He cherished every moment he got to spend with his family.

He graduated in 2005 from NSI in Sheridan, Wyoming. He excelled at all sports including track, football and his favorite sport, basketball. He was offered a full-ride track scholarship to Black Hills State University after graduating.

He also loved music and singing. He had a beautiful voice and while in high school he performed a solo at the WYO Theatre in Sheridan. He had an incredible sense of humor and was always able to cheer up those around him.

He is survived by his wife, Danielle; sons, Daxton, Kenzer, and Jace; parents, David and Kathy; siblings, Jessica (Jacob Laney) and Joshua (Montana Johnson); nieces and nephews, Nevaeh, Tatum, Logan, Hudson, Bristol, Harper, Karlie, Mason, Zach, Bailey, Brooklyn, Lucas, and Tucker; in-laws, Kim Washburn (Mark), Danny Benshoof (Courtney), and Sheila DelaRosa; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Beverly and Eldon King; and paternal grandparents, Bessie and Jerold Dean Russell.

Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Newcastle on Nov. 23 at 11 a.m. His inurnment will be at Boyd Cemetery in Four Corners, Wyoming, following the service.
