JANET WOCICKI

April 19, 1942–Dec. 28, 2025\

Janet Wocicki, formerly of Newcastle, Wyoming, passed away on Dec. 28, 2025, in Thermopolis, Wyoming, at the age of 83.

Janet was born in Newcastle on April 19, 1942, to Harold and Lucia Yeager. She graduated from Newcastle High School in 1960. After graduation she joined the Navy. She met and married her first husband, Ken, and they brought two boys into the world, David and Paul. Things didn’t work out and
she moved her boys back home to Newcastle. 

Janet then renewed a friendship with Jim Bond and they married. The two had two children, Mark and Julie. They remained married for 18 years.

Eventually she married her high school sweetheart, Gary Wocicki, and she gained a bonus daughter, Suzanne. 

Janet is survived by all five children; many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandbabies, and great-grandbabies; and one brother, Doug Yeager.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; foster brother, Neil Collins; one grandchild; husband, Gary Wocicki; and long-time partner of over 20 years, Dwight Elliott. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, possibly in June.
