Hold the Key
By
Dean Butler

Being a child of God's is like holding a master key—it opens doors to peace, joy, and eternal life. This key represents the access we have to God's abundant blessings through our relationship with Him. As His children, we are granted privileges that go beyond what the world can offer. These privileges include peace that surpasses understanding, joy that remains in all circumstances, and the promise of eternal life.

Philippians 4:7 say, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." This peace is not dependent on external circumstances but is a gift from God. When we face trials and uncertainties, this peace reassures us that God is in control.

Moreover, the joy we experience as God's children can only be appreciated by those that have experiences it. It is not based on fleeting moments of happiness but rooted in the assurance of our salvation and relationship with Him. Psalm 16:11 says, "You will make known to me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; in Your right hand there are pleasures forever." This joy is a constant source of strength and comfort.

The ultimate promise we hold as God's children is eternal life. John 3:16, one of the best-known verses, states, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." This promise assures us that our time on earth is not the end but the beginning of an eternal life with God.

With this master key, we are invited to live a life that is fully aligned with God's will, experiencing His presence and guidance every day. It opens the door to a deeper understanding of His love, a stronger faith, and a purpose-driven life. As we walk through these doors, we discover the richness of God's blessings and the fulfillment of His promises.
