HOCO ‘25
Homecoming is just around the corner, and students could not be more excited! Newcastle High School Student Council members have been working tirelessly to plan and produce the greatest homecoming yet!
This year’s homecoming is Sept. 29 through Oct. 4, and the theme is Once Upon a Dogie: Disney starring a diverse cast of all Dogies! The magical week will kick off on Monday, Sept. 29, in Crouch Auditorium, where homecoming royalty will be crowned in front of everyone at 1:30 p.m. ceremony. Continuing with the jam-packed schedule, Powderpuff, junior and senior girls flag football, and Powderbuff, junior and senior boys volleyball, will take place on Monday and Tuesday, respectively, both at 7 p.m.
We encourage the community to come and support the class of 2026 and 2027 in their ultimate competition at the Dogie Dome. NHS STUCO members will host a Teacher Appreciation Breakfast on Wednesday morning to thank the lovely staff of Newcastle High! Students will send the cross-country team off to their competition in Sturgis on Thursday.
Then, Friday is the day everyone looks forward to! We invite the community to submit floats to create the best homecoming parade yet! The Lady Dogies will compete against the Douglas Bearcats in the Dome that evening,
and the Dogie football team will compete against the Glenrock Herders.
Saturday continues with Lady Dogie volleyball versus Rawlins and Lady Dogie swimmers in Douglas for an Invitational. All our athletes deserve all the support possible, so please come out, enjoy the games, and cheer on your Dogies as they fight to win!
Homecoming week will conclude with the student dance on Saturday. We hope to see you all at the pep events and sports for a happily
ever after!
