LARAMIE, Wyoming (6/17/25) – The University of Wyoming wrestling team had a pair recognized on the CoSIDA Academic All-District list. Jared Hill (157) and Garrett Ricks (125) each earned the honor.

In order to qualify, a student-athlete must have competed in 70 percent of the competitions or at the conference tournament. In the classroom, they needed to possess a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Hill enjoyed a tremendous season on the mat. He went 21-12 with seven ranked victories. Hill finished fifth at the Big 12 Tournament and qualified for the NCAA Championships.

Ricks came out of retirement midway through the season and started the rest of the year. He finished at 6-9 and competed at the conference tourney.

Both Hill and Ricks each qualify for Academic All-American consideration. Those honors will be released next month.
