GILLETTE (WNE) β€”- In 2025, the Northeast Wyoming Regional Airport had its second busiest year since the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last year, 61,433 passengers came through the airport, including 30,836 departures and 30,597 arrivals. May was the busiest month, with 5,460 passengers, followed by March, which had 5,455 passengers. The three slowest months were February, January and November, respectively.

In total, traffic in 2025 dropped 1% from 2024 after being 2% ahead halfway through the year.

It is unlikely that 2026 will be able to match the previous two years’ numbers, due to commercial air service to Gillette being shut down from April 6 to May 21 for a runway repair project.
