The fall schedule for the Eastern Wyoming College Community Education and Credit Classes is about to begin. One of the classes on the immediate horizon is a class to help parents of children from birth to 5 years old.
The goal of the course, “Let’s Get Ready to Read and Write,” is to guide parents and caregivers through this critical time in the children’s development, according to EWC’s fall guide. The skills learned will help parents get the children ready for success in school through reading, writing, and language development. The strategies learned are practical and straightforward, and they can be used immediately in the home environment.
The instructor is Deb Doeksen-Gould, and the class will be at the Newcastle High School library. The class will be on Tuesday, Sept. 3, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. While the class is free, the deadline for registration is coming up fast —Tuesday, Aug. 27.
For more information about the class or any EWC classes, call Kim Conzelman at (307) 746-3603.
