This holiday season, Newcastle FFA members are spreading Christmas spirit!
With the change to the Festival of Trees, FFA members were looking for another way to take part in the season’s festivities and they replaced it by making western Christmas wreaths out of ropes for the residents at Mondell Heights Retirement Community.
Members Bailey Benshoof, Jayde Harrington, Callie Hiser, JJ Lipp, LaKacee Lipp, Alyssa Morris, and Riley Lewis took part in collecting ropes, decorating them, and delivering them to Mondell Heights.
Members were surprised to see all the residents lined up on the other side of the glass doors, then were thrilled to watch each resident receive their own personalized handmade wreath. It was a touching moment that the members said they will never forget.
Callie Hiser summed it up best when she said, “That just made my Christmas right there!”
We couldn’t agree more! Newcastle FFA wishes everyone a Very Merry Christmas!
