Ezell Announces Taylor Ignoto as New Assistant Coach

Ignoto had previous stops at South Dakota, Utah State and more

LARAMIE, Wyo. (Aug. 7, 2024) – Wyoming Cowgirl Women’s Basketball Head Coach Heather Ezell has announced the addition of Taylor Ignoto to the Cowgirl staff in 2024-25 as an assistant coach.

Ignoto spent the previous two seasons at South Dakota, where she helped lead the Coyotes to a WNIT appearance this past spring. Prior to her arrival at USD, the Thousand Oaks, California, native spent two seasons on staff at Utah State.

Previous stops for Ignoto include two seasons at Western Illinois and one at Omaha. At WIU, she was a part of the Leathernecks’ 2016-17 Summit League championship team. Before that, Ignoto spent a year as a head coach as well, helming Rock Valley College in the 2018-19 season. Under Ignoto, the Golden Eagles went 25-6 and won the North Central Community College Conference (N4C) and was one win away from advancing to the NJCAA National Tournament. Ignoto was named both the N4C and Region IV Coach of the Year.

Ignoto is a 2016 graduate from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas and has her degree in social work.
