Eastern Wyoming College Newcastle Outreach spring classes are beginning this month, beginning with a driver’s education class that begins on Monday, Jan. 18. The class size is limited to
50 students, and the deadline to register is on Thursday,
Jan 14. The driving portion of the course should end by May 31, depending upon the class size, according to Kim Conzelman, the Newcastle outreach coordinator.
Students will receive a course schedule on the first day of the driver’s ed class, and all students must attend the first class with a parent/guardian. The first class will be in the high school auditorium and starts at 6 p.m. on the 18th.
To register, students need to come to the EWC Outreach office by the registration
deadline. There is a $50 fee for this class.
Upon completion of the class, students will be eligible for a discounted insurance rate, Conzelman said. There are other benefits as well, and students will find out about those in the first class.
Other classes beginning in January include a reversible placement sewing class and a cooking class. Upcoming classes to be held between February and May include more arts and crafts, cooking, personal enrichment, gardening and dance classes. Booklets with class descriptions can be obtained by calling the EWC Outreach office at (307) 746-3603, or visiting the website at wcsd1.org, clicking on Departments and scrolling down to Eastern WY College Outreach.
