Everyone Who Calls Will Be Saved

Call upon the Lord.
“And it shall be that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” — Acts 2:21
This verse is part of Peter’s sermon on the day of Pentecost. The crowd had just witnessed something amazing—ordinary men, filled with the Holy Spirit, speaking in different languages. Some mocked. Others were confused. But Peter stood up and explained what was happening.
He quoted the prophet Joel. This verse was part of that prophecy. And it still holds true today.
God didn’t say the educated would be saved. He didn’t say the good people or the religious ones. He said everyone—everyone who calls on His name.
Calling on the name of the Lord means more than saying a prayer. It’s about recognizing who He is—Lord and Savior—and trusting Him with your whole heart. It’s crying out to Him because you know you can’t save yourself.
Salvation isn’t earned. It’s received. And the door is wide open to all who will call.
If you haven’t called on Him, today’s the day. And if you have, then remember—there’s no one too far gone. Keep pointing people to the One who saves.
“Seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him while He is near.” — Isaiah 55:6
