Enroll Wyoming offers free help with health insurance
WORLAND (WNE) — A local nonprofit organization, Enroll Wyoming, is making a significant impact by offering free consultations to individuals and families navigating the complexities of health insurance.
Enroll Wyoming is a grant-funded organization dedicated to helping Wyoming residents with health insurance inquiries. Its services include assistance with filling out applications for the health insurance marketplace and Medicaid and providing resources for individuals who may not qualify for financial assistance.
The organization also offers guidance on job-based health insurance, COBRA, Medicare and private insurance options.
A common misconception about Enroll Wyoming is that its services are only available to low-income individuals.
However, Health Insurance Marketplace Navigator LeAndra Rasmussen clarified, “While there is a minimum income requirement to use the health insurance marketplace, there is no maximum income limit. People at any income level can access our services and the marketplace.”
The organization guarantees that all assistance provided to individuals seeking help is completely free of charge.
“There is oftentimes a cost for whatever plan is selected and utilized through the marketplace, but for our assistance, there is no cost,” said Rasmussen.
According to the Enroll Wyoming website, “Enroll Wyoming is a trusted source for health insurance information, committed to providing free, fair, and impartial guidance. They offer consultations in person, over the phone, or via Zoom. Additionally, navigators are available in every county in Wyoming to assist with your needs.”
Those seeking assistance can contact Rasmussen directly on weekdays via leandra@enrollwyo.org or by calling or texting 307-254-9639. Additionally, residents can connect with a navigator by dialing 211 and asking about health insurance resources.
