DOROTHY ‘DOT’ MILLER

Dorothy “Dot” Miller, 88, of Newcastle, Wyo., passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020, at Weston County Manor. She was born June 28, 1932, in San Francisco, Calif., the daughter of Antone Fritz and Harriat Collins.
She was the youngest of four children, with two brothers, and one sister. After graduating from high school, Dot worked for Pacific Bell in the Yellow Page advertising department and also held a part-time job as an usher at the historic Paramount Theater in San Francisco where she met Bob Miller.
On Sept. 6, 1952, Bob and Dot were married by the Justice of the Peace in Reno, Nev. After moving to Newcastle in 1954, they were subsequently married again by the Newcastle Catholic Church. They remained married for 68 blissful years. Dot was a consummate mother and homemaker. She was an excellent cook and loved to read books.
Dot was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Miller; parents, Antone Fritz and Harriat Collins; her two brothers, George and Freddie; and sister Ethal.
She is survived by her son, Rick (Shelly) Miller from Las Vegas, Nev.; her daughter, Debi (Dave) Butzler from Nashville, Tenn.; and grandchildren, Scott (Sarah) Miller from Las Vegas, Kristie Miller from Las Vegas, Dylan Butzler, currently stationed in Pensacola, Fla., and Dustin Butzler from Albany, Ore.
