Donna Cottrell, 81, of Canton, S.D., passed away on Nov. 29, 2021, at The Good Samaritan Home in Canton. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 11, at 10:30 a.m. at Center Free Lutheran Church, rural Salem, S.D.  
Donna L. (Campbell) Cottrell was born on July 7, 1940, to Arthur and Kathryn (McPhail) Campbell in Anaconda, Mont. She grew up and attended school in Anaconda and started a family at a young age. She was devoted to her family and supporting them. She was a hard worker and a great role model. She worked in and out of the home during her life. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed being involved in church groups. She had a big heart with a great sense of humor. She had a wonderful way of making each of her children feel like they were her favorite, and of course, each one was. Bowling, reading and music were some of her favorite hobbies.
Donna is survived by her children, Linda Jordahl of Rainier, Wash., James Jordahl and wife, Chris, of Camarillo, Calif., Jackie Jordahl of Orangevale, Calif., Jeffrey Jordahl of Newcastle, Wyo., Jerry Jordahl and wife, Martha, of Oxnard, Calif., Robin Minor and husband, Rodney, of Canton, Becky Nelson of Owatonna, Minn., and Jonathan Nelson of Rapid City, S.D.; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Kay Gehnert of Glendive, Mont., and Joani Laslovich of Burbank, Calif.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Nick Cottrell; children, Kathryn Jordahl, Mary Randall and Joey Jordahl; and seven brothers and sisters.

the arrangements.
