Dogies take control β Newcastle scores all 33 points in first half

The Newcastle High School football team took control immediately Sept. 3, scoring 20 points in the first quarter on its way to a 33-0 victory over the Rapid City Stevens JV.
The Dogies added 13 points in the second quarter to take a 33-0 lead into halftime. Neither team scored in the second half.
βOn Thursday night against Rapid City Stevens, the Dogies did a great job of controlling the game from the kickoff,β head coach Matt Conzelman said. βWe are extremely proud of their performance and are looking at improving in a few areas moving into Herder Week.β
A glitch with the game film prevented the coaching staff from compiling complete individual statistics.
The Dogie football team will return to action Thursday, Sept. 10, when they travel to Glenrock. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
