LARAMIE, Wyo. (3/9/25) – The University of Wyoming divers are set to compete at the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships beginning on Monday, March 10 through Saturday, March 15 in Federal Way, Washington. The Wyoming swim team is headed to Ocala, Florida for the CSCAA National Invitational Championships this week, which runs from Thursday, March 13 through Saturday, March 15.
The Zone E Diving Championships are an opportunity for the Pokes to qualify for the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships later this month.
Associate head coach Kristin Walker is excited for the Pokes to swim in the post season and the experiences it will provide the swimmers.
“We have 21 swimmers qualified, including some from each class – from freshmen who are loving the opportunity to extend their first season as Cowboys/Cowgirls, to seniors who weren’t ready to end their career at conference and are excited to swim one last time! The cool thing about this meet is that we will get to race other division one teams from all over the country that we would not normally get to race,” Walker said. “The overall feel from the group is pure excitement and we expect to see some season best times because of that!”
The swimmers who qualified for the CSCAA National Invitational Championships include Abigail Bruss, Adam Pannell, Andrew Cooper, Andrew Ravegum, Avery True, Caleb Ozenne, Cameron Knox, Christian Louie, Collin Davis, Ellie Fritscher, Gavin Smith, Griffith Orloff, Kali Franckowiak, Katie Ford, Kellen Chadderdon, Luke O’Connor, Makenna Reiner, Quinn Teller, Sydney Metzler, Tara Joyce and Taylor Craft.
Following Zones and the CSCAA NIC, Macey Hansen will represent Wyoming at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in Federal Way, Washington from Wednesday March 19 through Friday March 21.
