Decker's to host grand opening

Decker’s Market is set to hold their grand opening Thursday, Friday and Saturday of this week, according to Jeremiah Decker. 
The ribbon cutting will be at 10 a.m. Friday, with free coffee and bakery samples offered Friday and Saturday. Cambria Coffee, the new coffee shop within the Decker’s new building, is open from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. All three days of the grand opening Decker’s will offer beer and liquor tasting with 10% off liquor purchases. 
“We’ve got a bunch of giveaways,” said Clint Mullen, Decker’s Market store director. Some of the giveaways include a grill, cooler and more. The market will also be grilling ribs on Friday, in addition to several other activities to celebrate the official opening of their new store on Washington Boulevard in Newcastle. 
Additionally, during the grand opening celebration the gift shop will be offering 40% off selected items.
“We never got to do a grand opening when we first opened in March,” Mullen said, noting his excitement to show appreciation to the community. 
Cambria Discount Drug, also located within Decker’s Market, will be having their grand opening in conjunction with Decker’s Market, complete with additional giveaways and refreshments.
The market is seeing a little bit more stability in products and prices — which was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic — allowing them to offer great prices and deals to the community for their grand opening and beyond, according to Mullen. The store will be offering ad specials, and they are putting out a four-page ad of special deals in conjunction with the grand opening.
