Dave Upton was born on Nov. 16, 1942, in Sheridan, Wyoming. He graduated from Upton High School in 1961. Dave proudly served his country in a combat unit in Vietnam from Feb. 25, 1964, to Feb. 20, 1966.

Dave was a gifted storyteller, and his stories will be remembered by all who knew and loved him. He had a deep love
for horses and spent many years raising numerous quarter horses and paints, a passion that brought him great joy throughout his life.

Dave is survived by his wife, Sandy; his four children and their families, Vern and Kandi Stanton, Travis and Margie Upton, Ginger and Ronnie Anno, and Dustin and Brenda Upton; his sister and brother-in-law, Rona and John Barker; niece, Lisa Denson; nephew, Chad Barker; sisters-in-law, Chris Beardsley, Marge Sturgis, Joyce Niswender; and brother-in-law, Dale Nieswender.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Helen and Ernie Rank.

Dave will be remembered for his service to his country, his love of horses, his gift for storytelling, and the love he shared with his family. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
