Cowgirls Wrap Play in Oklahoma with 4-0 Win

Wyoming makes quick work of Northeastern State

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (Jan. 20, 2026) – The Wyoming Cowgirls came out ready to play and made quick work of Northeastern State Tuesday night to close a successful first week of play in the state of Oklahoma. The Cowgirls blanked Northeastern State, 4-0 as the two teams played to clinch.

Wyoming (4-2) swept doubles play to clinch the point to open the contest. At No. 1, Silver Bijlsma and Violetta Borodina continued their strong opening week with an impressive 6-2 win. At the second spot, Eugenia Ceinos and Dilnaz Mashabayeva took care of business 6-3. At the third position, the tandem of Serina Abriola and Anastasiia Kochelaevskaia won handily, 6-1.

In singles, the Cowgirls won the only three completed matches in straight sets to make it a quick night. At No. 1, Kochelaevskaia won 6-1 and 6-0. Bijlsma didn’t surrender a game at No. 2 as she won 6-0 and 6-0. Borodina, meanwhile, won 6-2 and 6-1 at the third singles spot. At No. 4 Madlena Orlova won her first set 6-4 but didn’t finish her matchup as UW already clinched the victory.

The Cowgirls are now off for a couple of weeks as they next return to action with their first home matches of 2026. Wyoming hosts Minnesota and Idaho February 7 and 8, respectively in Laramie.
