Cowgirls Travel to Play Utah State and Boise State

LARAMIE, Wyo. (April 2, 2025) – The Wyoming Cowgirl tennis team hits the road for a pair of Mountain West matches. This begins a stretch of 3-of-4 matches away from home to close the regular season for Wyoming. The Cowgirls travel to face Utah State Friday and Boise State Sunday. Both matches are set for 11 a.m.
UW (5-13, 2-4 MW) is coming off a split last week at home, dropping a hotly-contested 4-2 match to San Diego State before bouncing back with a 4-1 win over UNLV Sunday. Violetta Borodina led the way with a pair of singles victories last week. Dilnaz Mashabayeva also earned a singles win in her only completed match of the week. Mashabayeva now has a team-best eight dual wins this season, and along with Elena Trencheva, leads the Cowgirls with three Mountain West victories, each. Anastasiia Kochelaevskaia also split her singles matches at home and now has a team-best 13 singles wins across the entirety of the 2024-25 campaign.
In doubles, the No. 1 team of Borodina and Mashabayeva lead the way with 13 wins overall on the season, with seven of those coming in dual action. The tandem is 5-1 in Mountain West play and are 8-2 over their last 10 matches.
Utah State is in search of its first conference win this week and is 3-3 in home matches on the season. Boise State is 11-5 overall in 2025 and is a perfect 10-0 at home. The Broncos are 2-3 in Mountain West play.
