Cowgirls’ Season Comes to an End in MW Quarters

Top-seeded Aztecs Best UW

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (April 24, 2025) – The Wyoming Cowgirls’ season came to an end Thursday in the Quarterfinals of the Mountain West Championship. The Cowgirls lost 4-0 to top-seeded San Diego State in the matchup.

The Cowgirls fell behind early in the contest, dropping the Doubles Point to begin the match. At No. 2, the team of Eugenia Ceinos and Elena Trencheva earned UW’s lone win, winning 6-1. In singles action, Violetta Borodina won her first set, 7-6 (7-2) but her match was one of three abandoned singles matches as the Aztecs clinched the team win.

Wyoming’s season ends with an 8-16 mark overall.
