Cowgirls Ranked No. 7 in Final Regional Poll

All-Mountain West trio also in final regional rankings

TEMPE, Ariz. (June 10, 2024) – The Wyoming Cowgirl tennis team closed the book on the 2024 season with a No. 7 Mountain Region ranking in the final ITA regional tennis rankings of the season. In addition to its team ranking, Wyoming also had three individuals in the final polls as well.

In singles, the Cowgirls had a pair in the top-12 as Noesjka Brink closed the season at No. 10 while Sophie Zehender was tabbed 12th. In doubles, the tandem of Violetta Borodina and Zehender were ranked No. 7 in the final rankings and were the highest-rated doubles team in the region from the league.

The Cowgirl trio were all named All-Mountain West this past season. Brink and Zehender tallied 17 dual wins each in 2024 while the doubles duo of Borodina and Zehender set a new program record for single-season doubles wins with 28 overall in 2023-24. The team collected 19 wins during dual action alone.
